The Sirocco Wool Pillowcase takes its name from the Sirocco, a hot, dry wind that sweeps across the Sahara Desert, carrying the warmth and dust of the vast desert landscape. The pillow’s rich hues of red, orange, and earthy beige evoke the colors of the Saharan dunes.
This pillow was woven by artisans from the Taznakht region, a remote area in the Atlas Mountains known for its vibrant handwoven wool rugs. The Taznakht tribe has a rich tradition of creating textiles from recycled wool, often repurposing materials from old rugs to create new, one-of-a-kind pieces. This pillow reflects the tribe's craftsmanship, combining traditional patterns and natural dyes to create a piece that has a rustic style and durable.
